INTERESTED IN PURCHASING A FRANCHISE OR EXISTING BUSINESS?

Take a look at available opportunities and resources in the Quinte Region. Let's Talk Business is open to the public and anyone considering self-employment or a franchise opportunity should attend. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to explore the benefits of entrepreneurship. The event will showcase franchises interested in expanding to our region and local businesses for sale. Other participating exhibitors include: realtors, lawyers, municipalities, financial institutions, and regional support organizations. Many of our region's resources for entrepreneurs available in one stop. A variety of speakers will engage participants to discuss the ins and outs of purchasing an established business or franchise. Local franchisees will talk about their experiences and financial institutions and programs will discuss programs or lending options. The investment for franchises and businesses for sale will vary in level of financial commitment catering to both low start up and higher investment opportunities. The selection will range from services to retail and much more.

– In less than two weeks, representation for more than thirty franchises will visit Belleville in hopes to connect with right person who can build a business in the Quinte Region as part of Let’s Talk Business is just around the corner.
 
“There really is a good mix of franchises coming,” said Charlene Bessin, Managing Consultant at the Small Business Centre.
 
“There will be franchises in which you provide a service and operate from home to retail outlets to small food ventures and full fledge operations such as retail and restaurants,” continued Bessin. This includes both small and large investment opportunities appealing to a large variety of entrepreneurs.
 
Buying a franchise can host several benefits for an entrepreneur. This includes established brands, proven success models, training programs, marketing support, and purchasing power to keep supply costs low.
 
In addition to franchises, some local businesses currently for sale will be present.
 
Several financial institutions will be present to showcase lending opportunities available specifically for franchising or purchasing existing businesses.
 
“It is important to promote the existing opportunities in Quinte through businesses that have been built already. There are many benefits to buying an existing business as well,” said Bessin.
 
A variety of speakers will engage participants in discussion about the “ins and outs” of purchasing an established business or franchise. Local franchisees will share their experiences along with additional speakers that can discuss lending options and financial resources.
 
The Small Business Centre held a focus group with regional economic development and community partners to discuss the types of events that could help to reach the common goal of increasing economic development in the Quinte Region. The idea for a franchise and business for sale show was generated from that group.
 
Existing business owners are also encouraged to attend to obtain more information about regional resources.
 
Let’s Talk Business is being held at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre in Belleville on May 7 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Admission to the event is free and everyone is encouraged to attend and explore opportunities.
